The live-broadcasting training on environmental legislation for the Jordan Maritime Commission was held via Teams on 9-10 September 2020.

Overall, 15 participants from the Jordan maritime Commission attended the course. The two-days training aimed at providing an overview of the international conventions and EU legislation on marine environmental protection from pollution caused by maritime operations and maritime accidents.

The areas covered were air emissions from ships and greenhouse gases, ships recycling, Ballast Water Management convention, anti-fouling legislation and liability and compensation for maritime pollution.
