On 12-13 February 2019, EMSA organised a Training on Port Facility Pollution Contingency Planning for the Tunisian Maritime Authority in the framework of the EU funded project SAFEMED IV. This training is part of a series of bi-lateral activities which have been planned with all beneficiary countries in the last Steering Committee of the project. The training was attended by 22 staff members of the Tunisian Maritime Authority and it covered aspects of international legislation regarding Contingency Planning as well as various practical exercises. EMSA also provided a thorough overview of the various options for the response to chemical and oil spills.
