The CMS service can be accessed by European Union (EU) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) national administrations with responsibilities at sea, as well as relevant EU bodies and institutions. On request, CMS provides support to relevant international organisations in consultation with and based on the approval of DG-DEFIS and the European External Action Service (EEAS).CMS is an operational service to support maritime surveillance operations at sea and is only provided to authorized users.
