EMSA, together with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), has begun a series of webinars on the FuelEU Maritime Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/1805).

The FuelEU Maritime Regulation introduces the use of renewable, low-carbon fuels and clean energy technologies for ships, essential to support decarbonisation in the sector.

The first webinar, held on 4 June 2024, was dedicated to the preparations for the FuelEU Maritime Regulation. The webinar included the updated timeline for the secondary legislation, as well as FuelEU Monitoring Plan workflow and content. Also presented was the FuelEU Database concept, including the planned enhancements in THETIS MRV.

A recording of the webinar, as well as a recording of the morning questions and answer session and the afternoon questions and answer session, can be found in our dedicated FuelEU Maritime webinar section.

The presentations given during the webinars can be found below.
