FuelEU Maritime monitoring plans in THETIS-MRV

On 1 August EMSA deployed a new version of THETIS-MRV including a first set of functionalities supporting the implementation of the FuelEU Regulation in the platform. ~

These changes allow shipping companies to associate ships under their fleet with a verifier accredited for FuelEU and ultimately submit the FuelEU Monitoring Plans associated to the ships under their fleet, among other actions.Within the first initial weeks of deployment more than 80% (10,000) of the ships within scope were “FuelEU” allocated and FuelEU Monitoring Plans due were created in the database. 

During this period, EMSA has been assisting the shipping community with a series of dedicated webinars hosted with DG MOVE in the European Commission, updated THETIS-MRV tutorials, and specialist helpdesk support interventions.
