SAFEMED V project continues to support the Mediterranean Memorandum of Understanding (Med MoU).

On 18 and 19 June, EMSA hosted the 36^th^ Mediterranean MoU Management Advisory Board (MAB) which advises the Port State Control Committee on matters of a political and strategic nature.

EMSA participated with two representatives which shared, among others, a proposal for MEDMOU Members to target ships for inspections and efficiently report through the THETIS-MED database.

EMSA has a key role in many MEDMOU related initiatives, ranging from THETIS-Med developments to curriculum and training for PSCOs, update of the Med MoU manual and provisional of technical expertise and best practice.
