The representatives of Jordan and Morocco (SAFEMED V), Georgia and Ukraine (BCSEA II) and Albania and Montenegro (IPA III) attended the 22^nd^ MAREΣ Expert Working Group meeting together with the representatives of the EU Members States participating to MAREΣ, the SafeSeaNet Regional Server for the Mediterranean and Black Sea.

The regional server, managed by the Italian Coast Guard, among others, supports the sharing of T-AIS information received by the AIS national networks of the participating countries. The Expert Working Group meeting was an opportunity to discuss technical and operational matters related to the AIS data exchange in MAREΣ, update the status information on the AIS networks in MAREΣ, present the latest developments and outline the status of the pilot projects and other activities in MAREΣ.

Jordan, Morocco, Georgia, Ukraine, Albania and Montenegro were associated to this event because of their participation into the Pilot project on T-AIS sharing aiming to enhance the level of maritime surveillance and facilitate the identification of potential sea polluters in the Mediterranean and Black Sea region.
