What response options are available at EMSA?

The main response option available at EMSA is mechanical recovery through the network of stand-by oil spill response vessels.

However, the Agency is in the process of extending its pollution response "toolbox" through new dispersant application capabilities. The Agency also supports the oil spill response operations by providing monitoring tools based mainly on satellite imagery.
